About

Hello. My name is Christine and I am a web developer and designer. In 2012, I graduated from the University of Kent with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and achieved a 2:1. Since then, I have worked in various web development agencies and am currently Web Developer/Designer at Redspa, developing cutting edge sites and applications for clients worldwide. I also do various freelance projects including building websites and design.

Specialising in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, jQuery and responsive design, with strong back-end development skills in ASP.NET and C#, I like to tackle every project and technical challenge with great enthusiasm and expertise. Building amazing websites is my passion.

I have a strong desire to learn and explore new technologies as well as a logical, patient mind for troubleshooting under pressure. I'm highly organised (I'm always writing a list!) and have an ability to work alongside and communicate well with all members of the team, including designers, project managers and clients.

I am keen to share my knowledge as well as learning from others, having written several blog posts, including an insight into responsive design and development for Everyday Designer.

I hail from the beautiful town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. You can find me on Twitter @_christinemoore.

Education

I strongly believe that always being willing to learn news skills is one of the most important traits a person can have, especially for developers. With technology always changing and new things being released all the time, it is hugely important that developers of all experience levels are continuing to read, discover and learn new skills. Here are some of the ways I've been learning over the last few years:

Degree

BSc (Hons) 2.1 Computer Science with a Year in Industry at the University of Kent, England.

A-Levels

ICT, English Literature, Biology

plus 11 GCSEs

Courses

June 2013 - ASP.NET and C#

February 2013 - JavaScript and jQuery

Reading

Textbooks, magazines, tutorials, blog posts and tweets have taught me lots of tips and tricks.

Interests

As much as I love digital, web development, the Internet, design, typography...I have a few other interests as well:

Tea

Forget coffee, it's all about good old English breakfast tea and I drink it by the bucketload.

Travel

I love exploring the world and seeing new places, whether it's at home or abroad.

Interior Design

Interior design is another creative outlet for me, experimenting with layouts, textures and colours.

Gadgets

I like to keep up with all the latest gadgets, and also the latest technologies.
